Jesus is the reason for the season, but we can enjoy the trimmings, too.

There can be a tension between wanting to keep Christmas fully centred on Jesus and being thankful for the incredible gift that He is, and celebrating with traditions and other things that are not strictly Christian. But we can do both. We can worship God and thank him for Jesus as well as enjoy decorating our homes, preparing delicious food, giving each other gifts, making traditions, singing Christmas songs and admiring the sparkling fairy lights.
