FAQs

Who are you?

Hi, my name is Anna Hamill and I began designing greeting cards in 2019. I launched And Hope Designs in Febraury 2020, and had no idea how beneficial it would be for me, to create while the world was seemingly imploding, and for others to have beautiful, elegant yet fun encouraging cards to send at a time we couldn't meet up.

What is your dispatch time?

This depends what you have ordered!

If you’ve ordered cards, I aim to dispatch within 24 hours of order.

Some products take a little longer to put together as I only hold so many of each item in stock, and some items are printed to order so may take a little longer. This is explained in the product descriptions, so you should be aware which products have a longer dispatch time.

Commissions have a usual turnaround time of 7-10 days from when I receive the photographs or details necessary to paint or letter from. Christmas is a much busier time and I would recommend ordering as soon as possible, as it can take up to 4 weeks to get commissions dispatched.

If you need something in a hurry, do send me a message to make sure I can deliver for you, I would hate for you to be disappointed.

Check the banner at the top of the website - this will inform you if I am away and have longer dispatch times.

Can I order as a gift to be sent directly to the recipient?

Yes of course! When you ask me to send something directly as a gift, it will be dispatched without any paperwork, and will instead have your gift note hand written on a note card. Please make sure your name is on the gift note, as I cannot give out this information if asked due to GDPR.

Any products ordered will be carefully wrapped in sage green tissue paper and packaged with the gift note to bring joy to your friend.

Please note, if this is being sent outside of the UK, I am legally obliged to include a customs form on the outside of the package, and this will have details on the contents on it. I keep things as vague as possible (for example writing “journal” instead of “pink reading journal”) to keep a surprise as much as I am able to.

If you’d like me to send a greeting card directly to the recipient, your message will be written inside in my best hand writing, and the address will also be hand written on the outside and a lovely stamp will be attached to the envelope (instead of a boring shipping pre printed label).

Where are you based?

I am based in East Belfast, in Northern Ireland. If you live close by, you are welcome to pop by and collect your order (or I am happy to drop it round).

Because I am in Northern Ireland, the new vat rules for sending to the EU do not apply. I will mark clearly on your envelope or box that it has been sent from Northern Ireland and not to apply taxes or customs, which should make ordering from And Hope Designs a little bit cheaper than other U.K.-based (England, Scotland and Wales) shops. Please be aware that some postal services are unaware of this and will still try to charge for customs. There is unfortunately nothing I can do about this.

Can I see your products in person?

Absolutely, there are a few ways to do this.

If you love locally, you are welcome to schedule an appointment to come and see my products in my home studio. Just send me an email to hello@andhopedesigns.com.

I also have regular market and pop-ups around Northern Ireland, you can see where you will find me on Instagram updates and also this page, which I try to keep updated!

Finally, I have a growing list of stockists around the world, so you can pop in to any of them and choose from the collections they have in store.

Do you sell your products wholesale?

I do! If you are interested in stocking some of my products, do get in touch by emailing hello@andhopedesigns.com, and I will happily send an up to date catalogue with all the information you need to know. I have a low minimum order quantity, and you’re welcome to choose from all products in the catalogue to meet that MOQ.
