Christian Easter card - His heart beats
A Christian Easter card featuring an illustration of the view of Golgotha from the empty tomb at dawn on resurrection Sunday morning. The words “His heart beats!” are hand lettered below the pastel and pencil drawing that takes up the entire front of the card.
Inspired by spring’s dawns
The colours of the sky peeking through the tomb entrance are inspired by spring dawns I have been witnessing recently. The colours are hopeful and fresh. They are life giving.
Words from Andrew Peterson’s son His Heart Beats
My favourite Easter song is His Heart beats by Andrew Peterson. I cannot recommend it enough. It brings to mind the physical and spiritual implications of Christ’s resurrection. The first few lines say,
His Heart beats
His blood begins to flow
Waking up what was dead a moment ago
His heart beats
Now everything is changed
’Cause the blood that brought us peace with God is racing through his veins
His heart beats.
You can listen to it here, and hopefully these cards will bring to mind the incredible words of this song, making Easter all the more amazing and real to you.
